Holiday Inn Express & Suites Michigan City by IHG

We were in town for vacation and picked this hotel for the location. Easy to get to and plenty of restaurant and shopping options nearby. Rooms were nice but could tell they needed a little maintenance attention. Our room had a pretty bad paint job in the corners but was clean. Our companions room had a musty smell to it but wasn't overly horrible. Service was good from what we experienced. We loved the breakfast, it was a buffet continental breakfast. It had all the normal baked goods, juice, milk, fruit etc. plus it had some warm foods like sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a wonderful little pancake machine.

Rooms are very comfortable. ———————————— To future customers. If ya gonna do grown up stuff on the beautiful chase lounge chair…. Just ask the front desk for a king size flat sheet! To put on the chase. ———————————— The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The location is perfect! It’s in a quiet spot but very close t everything you may need.

I am currently staying with my wife and kids for the night and let me just say…. This place is amazing quiet and ever so slightly tucked away. The receptionist Mary was very pleasant and kind to me. I have a slight hearing problem and even with me asking multiple questions she stayed professional and helpful. Thank you for being an outstanding person. You have restored my faith in the kindness of the younger generation. We will be coming back on our yearly journey across the US.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was phenomenal I suggest you come and experience this beautiful hotel. It felt like home to me. Tiffany at the front desk was so pleasant. Thank you for making my road trip enjoyable.

The rooms were super clean, the staff was super friendly, and the Continental breakfast was hot and fresh. The rooms seem updated and well put together. I would definitely recommend staying here and this will definitely be our place to stay any time we are staying in Michigan City in the future.

I'm really not being hyperbolic, this was the best 3 star hotel stay possible. If your in the area and are looking for a place, don't go anywhere else. Updated clean rooms, delicious breakfast, really solid pool and fitness center, and a lovely and accommodating staff. Dollar for dollar, one of the best hotel stays I've ever had.

This hotel was very neat & clean. The staff were friendly and polite. The beds were comfy. The pool was refreshing. The breakfast was hot and delicious. I loved the Dove body wash and hair products.

The room was quite clean and very spacious. We really liked the lighting in the room. It made it feel so cozy and calm. The bathroom had a soft nightlight that didn't overwhelm your eyes in the dark. The blinds were able to block out a lot of light, so we were able to sleep in when we wanted to. The bed was really comfortable and they had 2 options of pillows (soft and firm) which is nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was conveniently close to shopping and dining options, yet tucked far enough away to avoid the usual traffic and noise.
